If I buy Nightfall, can I play factions and prophicies? - Guild Wars Forums

If I just buy nightfall, can I play factions and prophicies or am I only able to play nightfall. I understand there are a few "shared" areas but can I say goto Factions and go through all the missions and then goto prophicies and then go through those missions as well? Thanks for the help

Err. You can only play Nightfall... Factions and Prophecies are different 'chapters'.

Some areas will be offlimit for you as a NightFall player, for instance Alliance Battle, and I don't think you are able to join or create your own Alliance of Guilds (but i'm not that sure about it).

On the other hand, PvP area's such as Team Arena's and all other general PvP rooms are available (=

You can join an Allied guild, but you cannot ally your own guild without Factions. And even then, it's a bit of work.

The only area available to any campaign is the Battle Isles, a PvP-orientated area, where your guild hall will reside as well.

UW and FoW are accessible in any chapter.

The Battle Isles are common to the three chapters, but UW and FoW are instances (which are the same in all chapters).

On the Isles are:
Great Temple of Balthazar, cool looking place
Training area (cant remember the name if it does have one)
Zaishen challenge
Random Arena
Team Arena
Heroe's Ascent
Guild Hall

Named that way because of all the nameless masters there.
